Touch It (from The War / The Power Of Music – 2017)
EXO’s The War/The Power of Music album was filled with great grooves, and Touch It’s placement near the end means that it could get lost in the shuffle. However, right from the start, the track pulses with a nimble, retro rhythm unlike any other EXO track. The guys navigate the beat with expert precision, twisting their vocals and rap to fit the instrumental. This culminates in a sticky hook and even better bridge, which kicks the funk up another level with the addition of brass and chanted refrains. In many ways, Touch It feels like a modernized cut from Michael Jackson’s seminal Off The Wall album.

This song just grooves along so nicely. I especially like the back and forth rap lines at the beginning of the verses, it’s so playful.

This also sounds like it could have been a Super Junior b-side. I can even here the parts each would have. (eg it would end on DOnghae)
Alternatively the draft for the wonder that is “Coffee Break” SM Station song. Or the song that was inspired by “Coffee Break” after the fact.
Or both.
Tad high rating?
