Tactix (from Countdown – 2018)

I never see anyone talking about Tactix, but it’s one of my all-time favorite EXO songs. This is no surprise, as the track carries many of my preferred traits. Relentlessly upbeat electronic production, an ultra-memorable chorus and boundless energy join forces to create a real show-stopper. EXO have rarely sounded this grand, pulsing with an aggressive pop attack. Tactix’s hook knows how addictive it is, opting for multiple repetitions in place of an expected EDM drop. Crunchy rock guitar completes the occasion, anchoring the instrumental with bombastic aplomb.
