With You (from Don’t Mess Up My Tempo / Love Shot – 2018)

With You fades in with a beautiful tranquility that continues even as more instrumental elements are added to the track. The vaguely trip-hop beat feels unique within their discography, underlined by chimes that give it a traditional Eastern appeal. The melody moves at a mile-a-minute, though the song never feels rushed. With You devolves into way too much trap-infused mush during its final moments, but otherwise this is a welcome breather for the group — the kind of song that just makes you feel relaxed. At the same time, With You’s airy sense of calm makes it a little forgettable when stacked alongside EXO’s more bombastic works.
