Dangerous (from Pinocchio / Hot Summer – 2011)
An undeniable product of SM’s patented SMP sub-genre, Dangerous pounds forward on crunchy rock guitar and icy synth accents. It’s a stomping good time, allowing the girls a chance to truly vamp it up. I particularly love Luna, Sulli and Krystal’s vocals here. They’re in a higher register, and pitched up like you’d often hear in an aegyo performance. But, all three give the track an unhinged energy, clearly playing up Dangerous’ unique character. It’s all a bit Halloween, but I think that over-the-top style really sets the song apart from others in their discography. If there’s one thing about Dangerous that could be sharpened, it’s the chorus. The hook is fine, but a little predictable.

~ Rest in peace, Sulli. We will forever be grateful for the incredible music and spirit you left behind ~
I adore f(x)’s discography (certainly the best in Kpop in my opinion), and I’m looking forward to when you get to “Love,” one of my personal favorites and in my opinion the most underrated f(x) b-side!
