K-Pop A-Z Review: f(x) – Snapshot

One song. Every day. Alphabetical order.

Keep up with f(x)’s A-Z reviews here!

Snapshot (from Pink Tape – 2013)

The intro to Snapshot is among the cheesiest moments in f(x)’s discography, but it establishes the song’s vampy sound well. The jazzy verses have a vaudevillian appeal to them, though I’ve never been a huge fan of the girls’ animated delivery. However, Snapshot’s hook is a different story. As fun as the themed verses are, I kind of wish the entire track had harnessed the stomping power of the chorus. The creeping electro beat is particularly fun, and lends Snapshot great drive. I don’t think this song is any more than a fun, late-album diversion. But, Snapshot definitely has its moments.
