Hysterie (from Evolution – 2011)

Built upon flashes of rhythm guitar, big brass flourishes and enough nimble bass to power several songs, Hysterie stands as one of Infinite’s funkiest tracks. That it came so early in their career is impressive, and that their performance doesn’t get drowned out by all the production bombast is even more so. Though Hysterie doesn’t feel momentous enough to compete with their singles, its unflagging energy and willingness to experiment make it a very memorable b-side. In many ways, it feels like a natural sequel to debut track Come Back Again, as well as a forebearer to many like-minded songs that would come later in their career.
