Julia (from Over The Top/Paradise – 2011)
Julia’s most indelible hook has no words, leading the track with a nonchalant, almost disconnected delivery. But the rest of the song is no slouch, either. The falsetto-driven chorus is a real treat, as is the upbeat soft rock instrumental that feels ingratiating from its very first moment. Infinite’s music has certainly been edgier at times, but there’s something about this laid-back, jam-session vibe that compliments their sense of incredible teamwork. There are no obvious moments of vocal bombast, but Julia takes full advantage of the group’s incredible blend, creating a harmonic soundscape that radiates warmth.
