Feel So Bad (from Infinitize – 2012)
Feel So Bad is a more experimental piece for the group, exploring tempo changes and dramatic production shifts. Though percussion is definitely a player here, the instrumental is given over almost entirely to an intricately arranged blend of symphonic influences. Its verses play fast and loose with typical pop structure, ebbing and flowing with an interesting collage of melodies. It’s not what I would consider a dance track, but the entire thing flies by at breakneck speed, never settling long enough to fully appreciate just how complex it is. The members give an airy, understated performance that only enhances the song’s majestic charm.
