In The Summer (from Infinitize – 2012)
A staple of their live shows, In The Summer‘s warm acoustic nature is Infinite at their least guarded. The song steps away from the high-tempo dance pop that characterizes most of their work, but maintains the same sense of jovial, addictive energy. The vocals are layered to perfection, floating within gorgeous harmonies that conjure images of warm beaches and summertime campfires. There’s not a performance out of place as the guys trade lines during the song’s bouncy verses. But the surging, euphoric chorus is Summer’s true centerpiece. Few songs have the ability to harness happiness so completely, and the group’s endearing personalities are the perfect delivery method for this sentiment.
