Footsteps (from Reality – 2015)
Taken from one of the group’s strongest albums, Footsteps feels a bit meandering when stacked up with the material surrounding it. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the track plays with structure by not providing the kind of centerpiece chorus listeners might be expecting. Instead, Footsteps grows organically into a series of peaks and valleys that never develop a clear through-line. In this way, the song comes across more as a strong interlude than a fully-formed piece of music. It’s a soothing experiment, but not one of Infinite’s more memorable moments.
