For You (from For You – 2015)
Though For You may not have been produced by Sweetune, it brought back a certain funky lightness that had been missing from many Infinite tracks by the time December of 2015 rolled around. The song’s touches of rhythm guitar and addictive bass fuse together to create an incredibly engaging instrumental that allows the guys plenty of room to deliver the kind of assured, upbeat performance they excel at. Of all their Japanese b-sides, this feels most worthy to become a fully promoted single. Sometimes all you want is a sleek, impeccably delivered pop song. For You may not be stuffed of unique bells and whistles, but it’s solid as a rock.
