Infinite’s long-awaited comeback resulted in the title track Tell Me, which divided opinion on this site and others. It’s taken from the group’s third full-length album, Top Seed, and kicks off a string of ten other newly released songs. Just like with 2016’s Infinite Only, I’m here to offer my thoughts on every single one of them. NO MORE
A couple of the members have pegged No More as an album standout, citing its nostalgic melody. It’s also the song receiving the most music show promotion (not counting Tell Me, of course). For me, it’s a perfectly pleasant Infinite mid-tempo. Over a blend of atmospheric electronics and persistent piano riff, the guys deliver a stately, subdued performance. Of all the tracks on the album, I think this has the potential to become the biggest grower. There’s something slightly murky about its sound at first, concealing a surprisingly robust arrangement that beautifully incorporates vocal harmonies and electric guitar. It may not be one of the album’s flashier moments, but its sentiment is strongly conveyed.
