Moonlight (from Reality – 2015)
Infinite have only worked with producers Seo Young-bae and Iggy two times, but both collaborations have resulted in absolute knockouts. Strong enough to be a title track, the strings-driven, disco-kissed Moonlight is one of the group’s best tracks of the past few years. Its chorus manages to be breezy and powerful at the same time, anchored by a gorgeously layered vocal arrangement that plays to Infinite’s strengths. Though much of their music has moved on to a darker, edgier style, this is the fresh, fun version of the group’s sound that I love most. If they’ve truly cut ties with Sweetune for good, Iggy and Young-bae are worthy successors.

I had no idea this track was by Iggy and Youngbae, omg. I remember listening to this on loop back when it came out and really wanting more of this sound from them. It’s definitely one of my overall favorite Infinite tracks.

It would have made an excellent single. I’ve got my fingers crossed that there will be more Iggy/Youngbae work on the new album (if we ever actually get that long-delayed album, that is…)

Hey Nick, I know I’m late but I just wanted to say the link to this song on your in-depth album reviews index leads to Exo’s ‘Moonlight’ instead
