K-Pop A-Z: Infinite – Moonlight

One song. Every day. Alphabetical order.

Keep up with Infinite’s A-Z reviews here!

Moonlight (from Reality – 2015)

Infinite have only worked with producers Seo Young-bae and Iggy two times, but both collaborations have resulted in absolute knockouts. Strong enough to be a title track, the strings-driven, disco-kissed Moonlight is one of the group’s best tracks of the past few years. Its chorus manages to be breezy and powerful at the same time, anchored by a gorgeously layered vocal arrangement that plays to Infinite’s strengths. Though much of their music has moved on to a darker, edgier style, this is the fresh, fun version of the group’s sound that I love most. If they’ve truly cut ties with Sweetune for good, Iggy and Young-bae are worthy successors.

  1. I had no idea this track was by Iggy and Youngbae, omg. I remember listening to this on loop back when it came out and really wanting more of this sound from them. It’s definitely one of my overall favorite Infinite tracks.

    • It would have made an excellent single. I’ve got my fingers crossed that there will be more Iggy/Youngbae work on the new album (if we ever actually get that long-delayed album, that is…)

  2. Hey Nick, I know I’m late but I just wanted to say the link to this song on your in-depth album reviews index leads to Exo’s ‘Moonlight’ instead
