Together (from Grow OST – 2014)

Every idol group needs a celebratory song for the fans. And before Together came into existence, Infinite used to close their shows with the 2012 power ballad With. But in late 2014, Together became the group’s quintessential lighters-in-the-air emotional sing-along. King of sentimentality Nam Woohyun penned the track, adding a personal touch to what could easily come off as too maudlin. While not groundbreaking in the least, the surging melody does its job admirably, heightened by gorgeous strings-laden production that gives Together necessary weight. Taken together with their tour documentary Grow, it makes for an undeniably moving package.
