Hard But Easy (Luna + Krystal) (from Invincible Lee Pyung Kang OST – 2009)

Taken from the Invincible Lee Pyung Kang soundtrack, Hard But Easy is much more straightforward than most of the material found on f(x)’s own albums. As a vocal showcase for Luna and Krystal, it’s nice to hear something that isn’t just a typical ballad. Hard But Easy brings some r&b into the equation, bouncing along a gentle finger snap rhythm. Still, there’s nothing particularly remarkable about this track. It feels generic to the point where many of their peers could have released it (parts even sound like early 2NE1 to me). That’s not to take away from the girls, who churn out an admirable performance. There just isn’t much for them to chew on here.
