K-Pop A-Z Review: f(x) – I Love You, I Love You

One song. Every day. Alphabetical order.

Keep up with f(x)’s A-Z reviews here!

I Love You, I Love You (from More Charming By The Day OST – 2010)

Another of f(x)’s many soundtrack offerings, I Love You, I Love You is a sprightlier affair than the ballads already covered in this segment. The song is nothing special, but its upbeat nature makes it difficult to resist. The arrangement reminds me of early Sweetune, with plenty of vocal layering that at times has the girls perform in an overlapping, round-like style. As with many soundtrack offerings of this nature, the instrumental infuses a bit of electric guitar toward the climax. I think I Love You, I Love You could do with even more flourishes like this. Its bones are solid, but the whole thing comes across a little milquetoast.
