K-Pop A-Z Review: f(x) – Thrill Love

One song. Every day. Alphabetical order.

Thrill Love (from Hungry Romeo, Luxury Juliet OST – 2010)

Another of f(x)’s many OST releases, Thrill Love has a bit of spark to it. It’s not a patch on their best work, but the effusive synth production gives it a fluffy appeal that feels perfectly suited to certain styles of Korean drama. At just under three minutes, Thrill Love bursts in and out with minimal diversions, finding a steady dance beat and keeping to it. Amber’s deeper-toned rap anchors the cuter vocal affectations that make up much of the track, but it’s the brisk, uncluttered chorus that seals the deal. It’ll likely get stuck in your head after just one listen. Imagine the damage it could do episode after episode!
