On The Snow (from Sing For You – 2015)
On The Snow is an amiable little fellow, groovy and enjoyable in the moment but pretty forgettable thereafter. Its warm, brassy chorus contains plenty of good cheer for the holidays, incorporating sleigh bells to no one’s surprise. The production slavishly follows tropes of the winter season, but occasionally dips into a looser structure that allows the guys’ vocals to vamp a bit more than usual. The problem is that EXO have so many songs of this exact same style, and On The Snow falls towards the lower end of the heap. It’s perfectly solid — especially this time of year — but feels more like filler than the main course.

Aw, I’m partial to On the Snow despite how forgettable it is.
On another note, what will you do when Obsession drops? Just occurred to me haha.

Most likely, I’ll pause this alphabetical feature and do daily reviews of those songs (plus Bird) before resuming where I left off. I’d like to write about them while the album is still fresh.
